Carrots Row Spacing
« on: June 19, 2013, 11:32 »
Hello

Why do you have to do a large row spacing for Carrots? On the packet it says to thin to 2 inches and to allow row spacing of 12 inches. Is this purely for hoeing purposes? I have a limited space so would like to grow them in a block with a space of 2 inches each way.

Thanks

You've got it in one, it's to aid hoeing.  Go ahead and broadcast the seeds over a square yard / meter / metre (whatever)  and pull them as they mature leaving space for the latecomers.

Cheers,  :)  Tony.
I may be growing OLD, but I refuse to grow UP !
