The spuds are always beautifully clean too, with no nibbles or bites or scab in them. And yes, the downside is you do use an awful lot of compost to do it. The compost isn't wasted though, after pulling up the spuds I use the spent compost
Totally agree about the quality of the potato - just hope this continues this year !

Taking some 22 weeks to full maturity....

When weeding, the best way to know if its a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull it.

If it comes out easy, it was a valuable plant !
