Toilet roll tubes almost always go mouldy (I believe it's encouraged by the glue used to stick them together.)

It doesn't seem to affect the seedlings though but don't overdo the watering - I wouldn't bother repotting them at this stage.
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

One of the best things about being an orang-utan is the fact that you don't lose your good looks as you get older

Always helpful DD! The thing is, the roots are out of the bottom of mine...they are still inside too - shall I put them in the coldframe or keep them inside. I'm very protective of them

I'd risk putting them in the cold frame. You're going to have to think about hardening them off soon. Mine are in an unheated greenhouse, I'll keep them there for another week and then re-assess.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

So would it be safe to plant them out and cover with a pop bottle (plastic of course)?  Would that keep the frost from doing too much damage?

This might seem daft but what about pop bottles with the lid off, would that stop a frost or not.

Ok stop laughing, just thought it may act as a little run roof

Ummm not so sure I have the time or the bottles to cover 93 sweetcorn daily. Lol maybe I'll just keep them in the cold frame a few more weeks

I tried sweetcorn in loo rolls but they soon outgrow them. Either plastic pots or large size discarded takeaway coffee cups make good sweetcorn pots.
