We've got a grassed area on our plot and there's a fair bit of couch in there which is creeping into the raised beds. I'd already planned to cut an area away from the beds and put weed membrane and bark chips down to create a 'safe zone'. I'm thinking that I might just use that DPC idea and create an extra barrier.

I've had some weed membrane down for a few months an most of the grass is now dead. The couch roots are still there and some plantain seedlings are still about. But it's saved me a lot of work digging them all out

It's everywhere in my back garden. I think the lawn may actually be couch grass

We have weed cover down with bark and it still grows through the material, it takes longer but it still comes back. Only bonus is it's easier to rip out although it's a full time job as you never get all of the root.

Yeah, it's more to keep it under control and slow it down growing up through the raised beds rather than it 'curing' the situation.

Hateful stuff...I now have dreams about pulling up football pitch lengths of the stuff!

Round up all the time to get ris of mine, think seed is blown over from field next door.
