Well Done! We got an additional 1/2 plot in Jan and haven't made anywhere near the progress you have. I'm very very jealous!!   :D :D

Thanks for the comments I was thinking about doing a video blog but not sure if that is a bit to much for people let me know if anyone would like this.

As a newbie to growing anything more than fungus on an old pizza I was seeing it as a way to give updates of where I'm up too, but also a way for people in the know to say hang on you don't wanna do that you don't wanna  plant that their woooh that's not a cabbage that's a weed :) :)

Any thoughts on this idea?

Good or Bad??  :) ???

That's amazing.  Well done.

Just had a look at your Newton Heath Garden Club website. Looks like a very good and worthwhile project.

Yes It would be good if the community got involved.

I have been advertising on their behalf for volunteers as of yet no one has taken up the challenge.

I have tried to support them on the project but at the moment have to give my time to getting my plot ready as I have a tone of Couch Grass and Docks etc to control along with overall planning and planting etc.

I know, it's hard to get people involved.  It has taken me twelve months of posting leaflets in shops, pubs on noticeboards etc, just to let 7 allotment plots let. But I've done it and have some waiting for a plot.

I hope the project continues.

I'm afraid a video blog would not be published on our forums.  You could put a link in your profile to it (in the web site link field) but we don't allow references to personal blogs in posts - sorry :(
