Broad beans and frost...

Is anyone else wondering about this at the moment?

I planted some out last week that I had been starting off in my plastic greenhouse and garden shed window for weeks.  They were getting too big for the pots - approx. half a foot high - as the roots were starting to come out the bottom, so I thought it time to plant out.  One of the gardeners told me to cover them as the frost would have them, but I don't like having covers on them as they're missing out on sun.  You see they're not in the sunniest part of our plot.  I wonder if I should risk taking the cover off them?  It could be they've been hardened off enough already, but I suppose the question is are we likely to have more frost and if so, how bad is it likely to be?  Hmmmm 

Normally, I plant the beans straight in the ground after soaking in paraffin for half an hour, but I thought I'd try it a bit differently this year as I've always suffered from blackfly on them. 

Anyway, the sun is out, it's time to get cracking!!   

Mind are not covered and have in the past worn snow caps and survived
