I have my cold frames full of pansies and need the room for veg. Are they hardy enough to go outside when there is still a chance of frost?

No problem, they flower right through.

They often look very sad when it gets really cold, but they soon perk up again when it warms up. Mine have been flowering away since last autumn. I thought I had lost them a couple of times in the snow, but they are looking very happy again now.

I have had mine in the poly tunnel until last week then kicked em out into the cold frame so just wondered if they would be tough enough to fight the frost predicted this weekend. I have lifted them out of the cold frames now, they are still in trays, no time to plant today, just sitting on top of the soil.

all pansies and violas are bred from the heartsease weed so are totaly hardy
