Yep - I use small tins at the plot then dilute then throw it on anywhere that is closest.. sweetcorn love it as it has nitrates in it..

Yes, though not the same day as I pick them. The daughter also will wee on the raised beds

Urine is sterile unless you have a urinary tract infection - the only risk as such is from viruses - HIV, hepatitis, CMV and some others - most of them don't survive well outside of people.

I certainly wouldn't use night soil on veggies though - that would be asking for trouble!

Seriously.....sounds like most folk pee on the compost but.......has anyone used er....more solid waste?
I know dog & cat poo is a no no but we have compost toilets & i read somewhere about 'night soil' being used years ago.

Bad idea - urine is more or less sterile, more solid human waste is definitely not, but I won't go into further detail at this time on a Sunday morning!
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

Both work, some say male is better - and is recommended for deterring foxes.

John's advice on using pet and human manure is here

I thought i read somewhere that only male urine worked on the compost.

I've heard that too - I get Ben to pee in the compost bin whenever I can!

If a dog pees on your lawn, nothing happens.
If a bitch pees on your lawn expect a yellow scorched patch.
Male and female pee are different, hormones etc. Gentleman water on the compost as an activator is enough for me, its awkward on the top of a runner bean frame.

I think men have more nitrogen in their wee?  Still can't persuade young son to donate for me though!  ::)
