Hi all,  roughly how often should I pot on tomato seedlings, I have already pricked them out and put them in small pots about a fortnight ago.  They now have two sets of leaves and are about two inches above the top of the pots.  Some are a bit leggy and could do with being put into deeper pots to do away with the legginess but I am afraid to move them on in case they keel over and die on me.

I start my toms off in small pots , when the roots start showing on the bottom of the pot ... i tap them out and see how the root system is doing ... if there touching the side of the pot ... i move them on to the next size pot , when there at a good size i plant them in the ground .

Pot them om and bury them so thst the bottom leaves are just above the soil. All those little hairs on the stem are feeder roots and so benefit from being buried.

Grand I will do that this evening.  If this batch fail I have plenty of time and seed to start again but they look fairly good there this morning apart from some of them being a little leggy so fingers crossed.
