I'll be doing mine soon, but not indoors - just a frost free greenhouse.

Too much warmth can give you weak plants.

Leeks my way:

Thanks for info DD. Will be starting mine tomorrow hopefully. :)

You're welcome - just look after those peas for me!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Two weeks later and not a peep.   :(

Rescued them from the greenhouse today and the tray was frozen solid so I've popped them in the unheated spare room.

I'd put them somewhere light and warm rather than cool - despite being hardy plants they need warmth to germinate in a reasonable time. I'd be thinking about starting again if nothing showed after about another week.

My leeks (and onions) both started to appear after 10 days on a (mostly) warm, sunny kitchen windowsill - I now have the problem of finding somewhere cooler for them given that it's still too cold to chuck the poor wee things in the unheated greenhouse.
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

Thanks DD you're a star!  :)

It's a toughie isn't it Jay?  Fingers crossed when we've seen the back of this snow it'll start to warm up a bit.  I don't want the expense of heating the greenhouse but I may well invest in a cold frame next year and keep that ticking over....
