Raspberry canes
« on: January 06, 2013, 18:22 »
I planted some raspberry canes in different parts of the garden last year.  Two of them are next to a bush which I think must be blocking some of their light as they grew much longer and bent right over, although they did get full sunlight for a good part of the day.  Having said that, I probably had more fruit from them than those in full sunshine!

My query is should I move them into full sunlight or leave them where they are as I know raspberries don't much like being moved.  On the basis that I got some fruit from them last year (their first year so I wasn't expecting too much) presumably I should leave them.  What do you think?

Autumn Bliss grow like weeds.

If you want to move them, now is a good time. Don't forget to prune them right down.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

I moved a load of autumn rasps when I got my plot in May and I've being eating them all autumn. They really do grow like weeds. I've been oiking them out left, right and centre from their original spot.
