Gave one of my precious, poll-topping Sungolds to an elderly friend who supposedly knows about how tomatoes should taste and she pronounced it "bland" (and then politely spat the skin out just to rub it in, although to be fair she could find a piece of gristle in a glass of tap water!)
Don't think there is much point running the home grown tomato survey this year - with so many tales on here of slow, blighted or botrytissed (
) plants I can't see it having a very positive or useful outcome.
