Is there enough room for the others to lay with the broody in the way - sometimes they will lay elsewhere - depending on how free ranging yours are they could be almost anywhere!

If you don't want a broody (I look forward to having one or 2 a year - but then with 26 hens a broody isn't a big deal in terms of egg production) then keep lifting her off the nest - usually this puts the casual broody off - but some need to be put in a cage or similar with a open mesh bottom so they keep getting a draft under them - they will stop it eventually.

Good luck
My maths shows that bird is equal to or greater than the word...

Hi I am also new to chook keeping, I followed advice from another member of this forum and put 2 broody birds in a dog cage during the day and returned them to the hen house at night - it took 5 days for them to stop being broody.  A friend of mine said to leave broody bird in cage continuously for 3 days & nights with plenty of food & water and it works every time.  I am going to try this next time.

We too had a broody.  We left her in a cage with food and water during the day and put her back in the coop at night.  Only took a few days for her to snap out of it!
