Help with Broad Beans
« on: June 26, 2012, 12:22 »
The growth on my Broad Beans is very lush, they are standing about 4' tall and make a very dense thicket but not many of the flowers are setting.  Should I have taken out the tops? I do not have blackfly.

You could take out the tops it wont do any harm but that's not the reason your flowers are not setting. It could be lack of pollinating insects. The weather has been pretty lousy lately.
Mind you I'm no expert I could be wrong.
