Morning Fellow Growers

Well I have been well and truly caught out! Weather forecast last night predicted frost virtually everywhere apart from coastal areas, we rarely get frost, so I though OK I will leave my tomato plants in the greenhouse with the propagator lid off, got up this morning a sheet of thick frost everywhere!

Not been brave enough to look in the greenhouse yet I need to go into town so will look when I come back....................................

Anyone else??

Yes thick ground frost here I was not expecting it, will have to check greenhouse later but slightly scared to look!

As I've posted in the weather thread -4.4C ground temp here last night, but I was expecting it!

10C in the greenhouse minimum overnight.

I had a look in my greenhouse at 730 and the temp was only 6c, and this was with the heater on.
