I have cleared out my garden shed and now have plenty of room on which to place seeds sown in pots. Will this be warm enouigh at this time of year and provide sufficient frost protection. Looking to sow broad beens , cabages , brocoli etc

Light might be an issue, how well lit is it, window wise?

the surfaces with free space are right infront of the window which is what was worrying me about frost as its been forecast to get cold again over the next few days

Waiting a few days to see how cold thing get won't hurt

I often use my shed window to grow brassicas and I stand them on something to get them up to the light.  Mice can be a problem though so make sure you have none before embarking on growing things in there   I've raised bedding plants and all sorts, once the weather is warmer though. You can always protect fresh sowings with a piece of doubled fleece
