Pineapple tomatoes
« on: January 11, 2012, 13:49 »
Has anyone grown pineapple tomatoes (not sure if that's the correct name for them).  My brother-in-law, who lives in the South of France, grew them outdoor last year. A local farmer gave him the seeds and he got amazing results. I love the flavour and want to grow some myself. I have a few seeds but wondered if they would be a variety that would grow well in a greenhouse.

There is a tomato variety called Ananas Noire (which actually means Black Pineapple) - see Nicky's Nursery or Plants of Distinction website for more info  :)

Thanks for the link Mum. Those are the ones, the yellow/red variety. Noting that their origin is USA and Brother-in-law lives in France, definitely one for the greenhouse, I think.
