Chitting garlic

Is there any point in chitting garlic apart from being able to throw away the ones that do not sprout?

I didn't chit mine. They went in about 3 weeks ago and they are now about 9" tall. Every one came through.

Welcome to the site

I wouldn't chit them. I think it runs the risk of damaging the roots when you plant out.

Never heard of chitting G before... as said above just plant and it will (should) grow!!
