I've just been given 2 plants but I don't know how to plant them. Do I just dig a hole bury them and mulch? Or is it too late. I'm not expecting any fruit but would like to get them in. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

They like well-drained soil with plenty of organic matter in it, and should be planted with the crown just above the surface of the soil. Water well, mulch if you like, and that's about it.

I can't remember whether I fed mine when I just bunged them in last autumn.  You could put a general purpose fertiliser down, or chicken pellets if you like.

I'd avoid high potash tomato food this year as you want them to concentrate on getting established rather than flowering.
