Just wondering when the best time to dig them up would be.

One of my plants has flowered, so I had a wee dig at the base but only found two very small looking specimins (a little smaller than golf balls).

I'd leave them another week - 10 days, then have another furtle.

I had some lovely Arran Pilot at the weekend.  But I am a lot further south than you.

We are munching our way through the Pentland Javlin now, getting a pretty good crop considering the weather we have had in May, I wasn't that optimistic this year.

Thanks. I'll leave it another week or two then try again. The plants themselves are massive and really green, so I'd hope that translates to potentially good tatties!
