Looks like a pullet (young female) to me.  How old is she?  She has very pretty markings.

hi sorry i should have put the age on too, i have 2 of them that 1 sings but the other 1 dont, they are coming up to yr old now and i know 1 of them is laying but not sure which 1 is or it could be both laying eggs each other day but 1 a day if you get what i mean, so not sure... will have a look to see if i have a pic of full body

going by our girls and your picture - i'm pretty sure its a girl and they might well be laying every other day between them so that you have an egg each day. ours do that. pretty looking gal

looks female to me, she is very pretty, and surely should be laying by now, nice rounded 'hen' look, but I'm more fascinated by the 'singing', pity we can't get recordings on here .
