Alicante tomato rescue operation...
« on: March 11, 2011, 07:02 »
...is underway on my windowsil.  Out of the 24 seeds (3 per cell in tray), these are the only 3 that looked like doing anything, and they were starting to droop.  I've now put them in bigger pots - perhaps a little too early -  but they're in a bit deeper now and hopefully will become stealthier.  I hope I've done the right thing ?!?!

Possibly not enough light. Windows sills are very deceptive. We can think they're bright, but plants are not of the same opinion.

Have you tried the frequently mentioned aluminium foil trick?

When you say "stealthier", do you mean they'll be better at creeping up on you?

Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

perhaps BandB are coining a new portmanteau word, from strong and healthier... as in "the toms were very dreggy but now they're much stealthier"
 :)

Maybe I'll give the old foil thing a go then or I might try training my angle-poise on them over night!

The former will work, the latter won't!
