Hi all,I have a contorted willow in my back garden,it was only a mere twig once but last year it has gone wild,it is now some 8ft tall, trouble is it is in my back garden which is very small and I wish to transplant it down the paddock.

Some leaves have already dropped but do I wait until it is bare before taking on the major task of re-locating it?!

Any advice appreciated :)

I would wait until it is bare before transplanting it (should only be in a few days time), November through to Feb is ideal times for moving trees and shrubs.
Staffies are softer than you think.

Just in case,  it may be a good idea to take a few cuttings, and stick them in a dampish piece of ground.  If tree isn't happy about the move, at least you'll have those.
