today i look like i've been through a hedge backwards.  thats because i have whilst trying to catch a runaway aracauna!  he had gone into my bird phobice neighbours garden and then to the derelict allotment the other side of it.

Yep that sounds like an Aracana. Bad luck. I once hatched 17 cockerels and 1 hen. The cockerels spent all winter in my trees. Far to high to ever catch. Blighters and so flighty.

Oh dear Rae, I am trying not to laugh, but you have made it sound funny    I am sure it wasn't at the time though, is the little devil home & tucked up for the night now?

She's home and had her wing clipped. She can still get to the top of the climbing frame and eat the pyrocantha berries though. When I grabbed her I pulled out her tail feathers (she's moulting at the moment). So she looks really odd compared to her brother and sister
