tomato on my spuds

i have a tomato or what looked like one growing on my spud plant has anyone else had this before? is it a tom or something else?

it's a potato seed, cut it off and throw it away if you have children, as it is poisonous.

Tomatoes and potatoes are very closely related.  This has been mentioned before so do a search for some previous answers. :)

Or you could give it to the children for use as catapult ammunition.....or is that sort of thing banned nowadays.

I think that very few of todays children know the joys of catapulting unless there is a Wii games version.
