FROZEN RHUBARB

I have some frozen rhubarb and would like to make chutney and jam with it. Do I need to defrost it first?

Is it already chopped quite small?
if it is I would just chuck it in, If not then defrost enough to chop up

Thank s MuM...It is chopped in about 1 inch chunks.
