Thanks for all the replies they are dwarfs and could be housed together, the cage is now in two parts and they live in seperate bits. They seem a lot happier (well one does) they cleaned all the blood off and the next morning they actually looked rather fit and healthy and showed me the next night that they still enjoyed their wheels
Our hamster before these was a white winter russian and she was amazing, she came when called, she climbed on your hand when you lay it in the cage to pick her up, she never ever hurt anyone. I would have a white winter again without question, just not the dwarfs.
Anyway they are both okay and happy in their new houses, one is in her full house with tubes and loving it the other is in a smaller version and we are adding a tiny piece a day, she doesnt like to be messed with and doesnt like change so we are taking it slowly with her.
So all is well thank goodness
