I've got a lovely if patchy crop of spuds coming up... from under my onions.

I KNEW I didn't get them all!  ::)

Did you have blight last year? If so beware of volunteers. :blink:

yes, I have few popping up amongst the brassicas under the debris netting! Thought I 'd got all the little bleeders - clearly not!  ::) ::)
small, Welsh and almost certainly bonkers, but can be tamed with Talisker, if required

I've got some coming up where I want to put my brassicas, funny thing is, last year I had leeks there, and don't remember seeing any potatoes.  ???
I demand the right to buy seed of varieties that are not "distinct, uniform and stable".

I've just spotted potatoes coming up in my main leek bed, but this is from the potato crop I planted there 2 years ago. I was sure I got them all last year. Considering how much more severe my winters here are, never let it be said that potatoes aren't hardy  :lol:

i was just going to post on this but here goes....last August i put some carlingfords in tubs which were meant for a Christmas crop but sadly they didnt get going enough and were soon pushed to the back of the greenhouse out of the way. This morning while having a tidy round behind there guess whats coming up...yep Carligfords tatties that were planted last August. those pots had about 6 inches of snow and ice on them for weeks but yep theyre coming through great now.
R.I.P Bobby Smiler Smith......love you always little fella.

 :lol:

I'm almost tempted to leave them, but they'll shade out my onions! Shame, really!

PS, 8doubles: no blight on the site at all last year, thank goodness!

No idea. I've not heard of a single case and believe me, the grapevine would have been buzzing! Speaking with a few of the OBs, most crops were poor but none blighted - I know because mine was pointed out as one of the better crops.

Shouldn't tempt fate, of course...  :unsure:

Where's Brighton Grove, I'm not familiar with it?

I've got some coming up from the deep trench of food waste I made! Can only be a bit of peel but it was very deep so I might get a few. And I wasn't growing potatoes this year.....
