Well we just lost another few ft of lawn and now have cabbages, cauli and turnip

We don't have much lawn left now, good job the kids don't mind. Anyone else keep running out of planting space? Even my huge pot collection has been used now. Hope I get my allotment for next year  ;)

In the same position here! Got to keep the grass I have for the ducks to graze on!
Be like a duck. Calm on the surface but always paddling like the dickens underneath.

Yep ... Im all out of space and still have sprouts, cabbage, sweede, beetroot, toms, BNS and courgettes (finally) to plant out. No spuds next year - waste of space and I think 120 onions may have been a little excessive  ::) as were the 60 shallots.

Still theres always next year.

I planted too much of some things too. Our rabbit keeps getting a feast when I'm thinning out though

I think by next year the other flower bed will be gone too  ;)

Yep, the spuds take up too much room so I am giving spud boxes a go.  They reckon 4 sq. ft. built up tower block style , could produce 100lbs. spuds. Saw the link on here but cant rember where, but its got to be worth a try.   :nowink:

Spuds definitely take up more space than they yield which is why I don't bother much in my garden. I'm fortunate that my mum grows most of ours in her very large garden. Otherwise, seek out organically grown sources of spuds when the main crops are in. You might have to pay a bit more than regular store spuds, but the taste is well worth it.
Due to my shallow soil and an aging mum I'm building 2 large raised beds which should fill my own family's spud needs starting next year.

Well it happened the last flower bed is now a raised bed

I did keep the established shrubs though and going to plant around them  :D

Its amazing how quickly my garden has turned into a run down forgotten garden into a full established plot. Just wish I had taken before photos  ::)
