my broody hen decided to leave her eggs for almost 2hours today and they are due to hatch in the next 24 to 48 hours, she is now happily sitting on the eggs again but they did feel cool to touch, does anyone know if this will effect the chances off them hatching,
thanks

hopefully they should be fine, last year I had one get off the eggs and then the coup door swung closed so she was off the eggs for 3 - 4 hours and most o them hatched. This year one of my broodies got off her nest as the hatching was over several days (4) so she left 2, I found these and drove round to grannie annies with them in my shirt. They also felt cool to the touch but 2 days later they hatched and are fit and strong  :).
Good luck with the hatching and don't forget we will want to see photos  :D
Staffies are softer than you think.

super, I would leave her alone now for a couple of days as she will stay sitting to harch the others. Make sure you have your chick crumb and water ready - either have the water in a proper chick drinker or in a shallow dish with marbles or pebbles in it as chicks can drown very easily. The chicks don't need the food just yet they will be ok for a couple of days then mum will bring them out. If when she does this and there are still unopened eggs then disgard them.
