Enviromesh Support
« on: April 07, 2010, 21:13 »
Ive just  bought 11m x 2.6m  of Enviromesh to cover my brassicas. And im after ideas how best to hold this stuff over my Crop (as im sure there are lots of ways).

My plot is 10m across and i was hoping to get 2 staggered rows of brassicas under this  mesh. Ive been told its best to hold the mesh of the crops, not just drapped over it because if a butterfly does get in a bird will peck through to get a caterpillar.

I was thinking of 2 rows of stakes put  either side of  the row and string tied between them, the mesh drapped over being held down by bricks.

But im sure theres a better neater way.

Anyone willing to explain to me how they would do it would be great  :)

Cheers MW.
I'm very important. I have many leather-bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany.

Most of the bods on our site use that blue plastic water pipe made into hoops. The enviromesh is then put over the top of that and weighted down at the sides with bricks or whatever you have around.
