would it be ok if i moved some spring cabbages as the rabbits left me with five out of the 20 i planted last year and i want to use the space for other crops?

Should be OK. They quite like being moved. Just plant them quite deeply and firm them in well.
Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.
