Solway Feeders-Nest box systems

Im currently fitting out my new 6x8 shed and thought i would spend a bit extra this time so it lasts, i came acrossed these http://www.solwayfeeders.com/productsdetail1.asp?STOCK_CODE=1214 on my google search and thought they were pretty good, has anyone got any experince of using these systems?

Yes I have and so has Grannie.

Very good though you may need to add straw to give them an idea to start with.

mmm our 12 girls like to share 2 box's wonder if they do any out there.
Graham = 2x Border collie Dogs, 2x Cats, 1x Wife, 2x Kids, 2x Hamsters and now 10x chickens.

I like our one, but if you happen to leave the perches down at night, the girls will use them and poop on the flap of the collecting area, and eventually the galvanised wears off.  so ours doesn't look as pristine as it did,   and they only tend to use the bottom 5 boxes.

When we all went to the National a few months back, there is a plastic set too, which I was interested in, but I haven't priced them up yet!

Only thing is, they aren't the rolloaways like the Solway ones, and I do like the rollaway bit.  There's a post on here somewhere where Karlooben bought the inserts and made her own rollaways!!

one day i will get something like that  :tongue2: nottttttttttttt with the way jack is going i aint going to be buying anything for a long time  :lol: . but yes i did make my own all for £11 i think at the mo though i aint using them { just got the plastic boxes on thier own } as i decided to paint the wood that was placed in front of the holes to cover the eggs when they roll out bad mistake painting yukky crusty poo covered wood aint a good idea so i am waiting to find some free wood so i can make another cover  :D  also the boxes an rollaways are still waiting for me to disinfect them  before going back in the house ummm fingers crossed this will all be happening tomorrw  :D

Oh by the way, this is my one!  Bit of an outlay, but it was worth it!  

Brian built a new side bit to the shed which sticks out so the next boxes don't intrude on the inside space!
