hello,  recently aquired a plot on my in laws farm. its (roughly, because is haven't seen it in daylight for a while) 5 by 7 meters so on the fair old side. it is covered in grass but i know how to deal with that, scoop it up and compost it or fold it on itself. never take on more than you can chew, sort out one plot at a time or end up running away screaming!

no, my question, is what sort of thing should i grow to begin with, I've got some amazing tomato cuttings, but i find tomatos so boring and can plant them till next year. does anyone have any suggestions for somehing to grow over the winter to get myself started?

And should still just have time to sow some Autumn-sown broad beans (Aquadulce).
