Hello have had a lovely - but short show of my allotment gladioi, but they are now fading.  Should I cut them down and leave the corms in the ground?

Don't cut them let them die back naturally, so that the goodness returns to the corm for next years flowers
Don't know if the new varieties are any hardier, but my dad used to lift his every year to plant again the next. I only have the wild hardy Byzantium variety, so i leave mine in

Great, thanks for quick reply.  It is hard to see them dying and not "fiddle"  :wub:around with them  but will resist
