Your offer was in real terms the most valuable lot there(not money),however as already stated some people cant see whats in front of their face.If you want to see real joy in peoples faces, offer some of your produce to an OAP,i gave my neighbour a large punnet of raspberries and a cauli on monday evening, her face was a delight.

Indeed, they are the losers! I'm typing this one handed as I am troughing my way through a tray of oven roasted beetroot from last night that I picked yesterday. Three different sorts too - when I did my brocolli with orange and anchovy dressing my boyfriend said it was restaurant quality. Blushing with pride as well as purple fingered! Nic.

Next time maybe you should try picking it a week earlier so all the flavour has been lost and it's slightly shrivelled, then wash it in various chemicals, place in a fancy bag and charge twice as much - it will probably vanish by lunchtime then !!

I just end up giving my stuff away - but it does make people very happy, and for me giving veg' away is part of the enjoyment of it all
Now then, I am a very pleasant lad from York.  I have a decent half plot on Holgate allotments.

My sister is funny too. I have to wash it and make sure its bug and soil free before I practically force it on her. Wouldn't have eggs either due to knowing where they come from. I would love to know where she thinks the supermarket stock comes from

My friend on the other hand keeps asking what is available because its lovely  :D

What a shame....I'd have felt rather miffed too, if it were me.  And exasperated!  What a bunch of ignoramusses....ingnorami..? lol  Never mind, some people don't know a good thing when it's sitting there in a box right in front of them! Eejits!  :nowink:
