Melons Not Flowering

Melons Not Flowering

I am starting to worry about my melon plants - they look healthy, but refuse to flower. I think they are sweetheart and were bought from a very reliable garden centre (Woodcote Nurseries - usually fantastic). I am following the advice - moist at all times, etc. Any ideas?

Melons really do need lots of heat to flourish and you possibly have weather that's not to their liking, nor amount of sun. This affects flower production and overall plant growth. this year my pepper plants are a huge waste as we had a long cold spring and early summer. Even now it's cooler than normal and out of 10 plants I have one teeny pepper and no flowers. Normally I'd be harvesting by now. My squash plants are sulking as well.
