got a green house given for free !
« on: April 19, 2007, 16:36 »
Last night our neighbour popped round to ask if I want their greenhouse as its empty and taking up space. Im rather chuffed as its 8ft x 6ft with and aluminium frame....is it better to clean it while its up or do each pane individually when its dismantled, also what should I use to clean any algae off the glass,

Cheers,
Moz

might be easier to give it a good clean clean when its down but quicker when up, use jeyes, stinks for weeks but I think its the best.

Definitly clean it when it's down. You can't clean the glass overlaps while it's in place.  Wash and buff the glass up whith damp news paper, it'll shine like a diamond :D

My one piece of advice is to ...
... nail the devilling thing to the floor soonest.  I got given a free greenhouse and some fluffwit decided they wanted it, so nicked it ...  :?

if you have a jet wash or can loan one with a brush attachment they do a great job at cleaning it,failing that a brush and a bucket of soapy water is fine
