I take it nobody uses them then? And I asked about steel v. bronze and she said if you wallop a bronze sword with a steel one it breaks, so the bronze being sharper and holding an edge better is not much help in that circumstance. And the slug thing is all anecdotal evidence and even she was a bit sceptical about it. And all tools are new somewhere along the line ( I have a posh expensive stainless hoe that sits in the shed and a soft steel one I got from a car boot sale that does all the work).
Possible a bit of snob value in them - I asked if they would have a stand at Gardeners World Live and she said "not really our market" - and its my favourite show...
