Hello everyone, hope you are all enjoying the Bank Holiday.

Quick diet question. This morning I offered my girls some aduki bean sprouts which had got away from us a bit and gone green. They grabbed them, spat them out and went Pleh Pleh, but they often do that as a way of bullying me into letting them out of the run so I left the sprouts for a bit. When I went back they were tearing into them and apparently really enjoying them.

I just thought, there's nothing in beansprouts to hurt chooks, is there? My assumption is that if it's ok for me, it's ok for them. Please can someone confirm or deny? Thanks!

PS My Skyline is laying the prettiest chicken-egg-blue eggs you ever saw.

I gave mine bean sprouts in a chinese stir fry mix after boiling them and although they ate them, it gave them the worst poo in the world!  They stunk up all of England!
