Two of my cream crested legbar pullets have started to lay however one lays light blue eggs and the other lays cream coloured eggs ? Is this normal ?

I'm certainly no expert, as new to all this myself! However, I thought cream legbars all lay blue eggs. Are you sure one of them isn't a gold legbar? I think they look similar, but without the crest...maybe someone else out there knows more about it though!

The legbars will lay 80% blue eggs, the rest cream/ pink  ;)

Thanks for the replies,  all the legbars have crests , only 2 are laying at the moment, other 2 are starting to get their combs and wattles.
They may sort thenselves out .
Cheers

I think what shiatusus is saying is that legbars have approximately an 80% chance that they will lay blue eggs.  If they lay blue eggs they will all be blue.  If they don't lay blue eggs none will be blue.

Ah then maybe I've got it wrong- I thought you could get a mix of blue and pink/ cream from one bird with the predominant colour being blue?
