I have a broody hen who has been sitting on eggs for two weeks.  Since Monday she has decided not to eat or drink.  I have been lifting her off and shutting her in the run for a while to try and encourage her to eat and drink but to no avail, she absolutely refuses, just goes and sits in the corner.  Her face is a good colour but she definitely doesn't look right, I think maybe just exhausted but as she hasn't eaten now for five days I am worried.  Have never had this problem before with any of my broodies and I know they don't always eat especially near the end of the three weeks but she is not looking at all right.  Can anyone help?

Have you tried popping some corn right next to her whilst she's sitting? I've had one stubborn one and it worked for her a small ramekin type dish for water within reach might help?

Other than that I think a syringe to get the water (maybe with some added sugar) into her?
