hi all
i have had my two girls for 4 months both are well and happy

they lay every day so i get 14 eggs a week at the moment , i was thinking about getting another one ( as we do ) but not sure if its too late in the season or not ? and if this would upset my girls ?.

The season doesn't really matter too much but there's nearly always a bit of friction when you bring in new stock to a flock. It depends on the temperement of your existing hens and to some extent the set up you have.
Just a thought, instead of getting one new one, it might be better to get two. Two against two would be fairer than two on one.

Hi all, I also two hens and was thinking of introducing another,however if I was getting fouteen eggs a week I would probably think again. We lost a hen to the fox a few months ago and of the remaing two , one hasn't laid since and the other is an inconsistent layeras she goes broody every month!. So I would be interested in the replies to the original question aswell.

hi all well still not got one more ? egg wise i use every single one , which surprises me !! what with breakfast for two , baking , keeping my neighbors happy!!!!! , the folks more cooking ,not sure if i may get 2 , if i am allowed !.
