In Growbags:

Lettuce..........Little Gem, Tom Thumb and dazzle (on offer from Marshalls)

Cucumber.......Burpless tasty Green????  (Outdoor variety)

In containers:

Spring Onions ...White lisbon winter hardy (so I can plant something now)
"       "       ... Guardsman (for next sring planting)

Carrotts :  Early Nantes 2 (thanks to Johns book)
                Resistafly

In hanging Baskets:

Garden Pearle tomatoes  (can I put a Marigold plant in with them?)

Does anyone know what the best Leeks and peas (if any) for large container planting.

So many questions!!!!!!  Sorry

I'll make it clear from the outset, that I'm not a growbag/container expert, but what you've selected sounds fine to me.

I've have though grown "Garden Pearle" in a hanging basket and had a good crop, but you must remember to water them as baskets dry out very quickly. I see no problem sticking a marigold in with them, this will help discourage the white fly.

As for peas - how about something lke "Alderman" - a climbing pea, which as you've got limited space will make it's growth upwards.

Leeks, I've had a poke through the catalgoues, how about something like this:

King Richard

"A very early variety, extra long, slim stems which don't need earthing up."
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

cucumber BTG is a good outdoor one and I grow it but NOT at this time of year, if that's what you were asking  :D

Your Little Gem lettuces will be fine in grow bags and you could mix them in with onions

Too cold for Little Gems now though I think

Maybe you could plant some garlic now in a container.  Mrs Bouquet
