lol...she wont give in your know....the lady loves her ducks... and a thanks to kate and vember for the humidity advice....day 18 starts tonight, so have done what book says, and used the wick idea....humidity up to 68...wooohooo

I wouldn't wish it on anyone.....but....the reality is a greater chance of cocks than hens.

As kate says, ducks ain't no problem, as long as you can maintain a sensible ratio. And have a pond  :roll:

As for necking them. I couldn't do the deed unless it was for compassionate reasons. Good luck with it however.  :)

If you want a chicken for broodyness then i would say Silkies because i have got too and they sit untill they hatch and make brilliant mums !!

I'm tempted to get a light sussex next year if one of mine doesn't go broody. Does anyone on the forum breed sussex chickens?
