I'd love to get some ex batts but hubby (to be) says 'no more pets' so its a no go ....  I'd just like to get my stepsons (to be) to see what the consequence of battery eggs are, they are both such incompassionate children they really just see animals as a food source and have no regard for their welfare.  They are shocked that I pay so much for a free range chicken for them!

You are going to love them.  Both lots of my ex batts have been such fun and they just love being friends with you :)

I have one ex batt who follows me everywhere...even when i am in the kitchen she sits outside the back door  :)

I hope you really enjoy them...and well done for giving a few girls a chance at having a normal chicken life

I have been driving my husband mad, talking about my new found hobby  Infact everyone around me should be chicken experts by now... I can't wait to get mine! I have made him carry the coop & run to various spots around the garden, then I ordered my second coop, because I thought the first one was too small...I do think he has been very patient  Now I'm pondering as to whether I should fence a nice chunk of garden off just for them ...decisions decisions  I'm definately a chookaholic,& I haven't even got them yet!

Eccentric! My friends think I'm NUTS. A friend has decided to initiate an intervention and has bought us tickets to the V festival. An aquiantence from work ahs decided to join us and he is thinking of also getting ducks. My friend has put her foot down and said that when she said it was a weekend for being age inappropriate she meant 32 going on 18, not 32 going on 80 and she's not spending the weekend listening to us talk about ducks!

hehe me too, every once and a while when I venture into the outside world I don't look half bad if I do say so myself, mind you I would still rather have straw in my hair than mousse and hairspray, Mmmm and as for dogs, this morning I cut my labradors nails and then cleared up piles of his poo as we had a very noisy car go up the road and he is of a very nervous disposition  the slightest bit of wind or rain or loud noise and out it comes, usually all the way up the stairs

Sounds like you two are describing the wife.  I am just a male version. With added grease from tinkering with engines not hair. Honest.
