Dwarf peas
« on: June 07, 2008, 21:21 »
We planted some dwarf peas and were dubious because the bottom of the plants were really yellow and I thought I had damaged them by separating the roots (they were very potbound from the nursery) and lo and behold today I find about 20 pods on the plants - yipee!  Have put wires for them to grow on to and covered them with netting - am I doing the right thing?

Well done! I planted some pretty sickly looking mange tout plants I was given and they're coming on a treat. I don't know if dwarf varieties will climb much but if they do don't expect to reclaim the netting afterwards - they get completely tangled up!
