I planted garlic last october .It seems to have grown really well and I can see that the bulbs are really swollen.... but, they don't look like they've split into individual cloves .... Not sure as I haven't pulled any, bit early yet.

Would they normally have split by now (maybe they have, won't know for sure till I pull them about july) Haven't grown them before so not sure what to expect at this stage  :?  HELP!

They should have, but there again, there's not a lot you can do about it if they haven't!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

If they have'nt (and it happened to me one year) pull them when ready and hang as normal, then keep them to plant this year and you will get whoppers next year.

I have 5 rows of impressive looking garlic but when I've pulled one or two up there is very little under the ground, no proper garlic bulbs. They are supposed to by ready in july so fingers crossed for miracles between now and then.

Cheers.
Good question Alex .... Does anyone know why this, not splitting/dividing business, happens, so that I can try to avoid it in future? I know they need a cold spell to help with this process. They've been in the ground since last October so they've had that ... so not sure what else it could be  :?:

The bulbs are massive, it's just the dividing that doesn't look to have happened with mine, Luckypurplebutterfly.
