Hi
I have read elsewhere that diluted sheep dip is on of the best disinfectants for poultry houses.  Has anyone used this?  Also which is the best wormer and parasite treatment to use?  Getting my girls in about a week and want to be fully prepared

hello there,

we have ducks but as far as i know the cleaning is the same, sure someone will tell you if there's any specifics for hens.

i use jeyes fluid diluted as instructions for the cleaning down and then diatom powder on top of the removable sheet thats in there, a sprinkle on the wood shavings and a sprinkle on top of  the straw, all of which were recommended to me by the good people of this forum

I think sheep dip is best kept for that purpose  

I got some wormer for my chooks but they came fulled vaccinated and everything so no worries yet.  I think it's Verm-Ex
