i hated brussels but grew my own and quite happilly eat them now, so give anything you dont like ago you may suprise yourself :D

me too     I can almost hear my mother saying "... but you don't like..." and these days I'm eating a lot more of the brassicas (I only ever liked swede (with mash) and just about tolerated turnip (with carrot) )  Also, I have bought seed (providing it is not too expensive) of veg I have never eaten before because they are generally not available in supermarkets etc and the whole experience of growing my own has encouraged me to eat better too :D
Failure is only a temporary change in direction to set you straight for your next success.
Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly.

Pick the broadbeans when they're still small, and they're much less like the dried beans in texture, and more like peas or something.  Both they and peas are sweeter, too, when they're eaten within an hour or less of picking.  Just throw them into boiling water for literally one minute, stir fry them for about the same, or eat them raw in salads.  That said, it's entirely possible you just don't like them - I hate tinned tuna, and DBf is violently sick if you feed him sprouts (even disguised or raw!).
